The Promise Page 31
So, if you would kind enough to leave a short, honest review, it would be very much appreciated!
I really enjoyed writing The Promise.
Josie Parker was a great character to create. Flawed in many ways, not only was Josie a victim of her circumstances, but also of her many bad decisions. Which eventually caught up with her. Ultimately, she meant well. She loved her two children Georgie and Marnie and in the end she tried her hardest to do right for them both in her own way.
I really hope you enjoyed the story!
I’m currently working on the next book so if you’d like to stay in touch and find out about the next release, or you just want to drop by and say “Hello” I’d love to hear from you!

Acknowledgments
To all my fantastic readers, Thank you so much for all your comments, messages, and interaction on social media. You are the very reason I write, without you, none of this would have been possible. I love receiving your feedback and messages, so please do keep them coming!
Massive thanks to my editor Keshini Naidoo for her amazing editorial skills and advice. I love that you get my style of writing and how your ideas and input always seem to help pull everything together. It's a pleasure working alongside you.
Thanks to the lovely Kim Nash – Bookouture's very own Media Star! - for all your hard work, support and encouragement. You really are a star!
To the fabulous 'Blog-squad' - Noelle Holton, Katherine Everett, Shell Baker, Vicki Wilkinson, Book Addict Shaun, Sarah Hardy, Chelsea Humphrey, Celeste – Celeste loves books, to Deryl Easton who runs the Facebook Notrights book group, and to any of the many more fabulous bloggers out there (sorry if I haven't mentioned you all by name). You really do such an amazing job promoting us authors and I for one really appreciate all your support!
Thank you to all my lovely author friends I've met along the way. Some whom have left me rather starstruck). To all the Bookouture gang and to the Chickens on a Picnic Blanket crew... (Thanks to Ed James for that one!) Writing can feel like a very solitary career sometimes, and it's nice to know that I’m not encountering this sometimes insane journey on my own).
Special thanks to Anne and Charlie Phesse of 'I Drive U - Chauffeur service' for inviting me along to a charity event/book signing this year which they organised on behalf of Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance. A brilliant day was had by all and Anne and Charlie managed to raise a fantastic £2563.00.
Congratulations to Tania and Carl Moore and their daughter Hollie, who all won their names in this novel. As it was for charity, I wrote you all in as 'Goodies' ;-) I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you to Harriet Feltham for all your help on questions about Social Workers and Children's Services. I felt it fitting that beautiful little Rose Feltham played out her debut as a character in the book as a way of thanks. (If I had named the character after you we both know how I would not been able to resist killing you off!) x
Special thanks to my brother Seán for always reading the very first copy of all my books and giving me his honest feedback. To Lucy my bestie for all your #FreeAgent work, and most importantly for the carrying of my Gin at crime festivals and to my sister Tara for proof-listening to the audiobook – sorry about all the swearing!
As always I would like to thank my parents, family and friends for all their ongoing encouragement and support. None of it ever goes unnoticed.
Last but never least, to the most important people of all,
Danny and my boys.
